Rod Stewart - I Don't Want To Talk About it lyrics

Artist : Rod Stewart

Song :   I Don't Want To Talk About it lyrics

I can tell by your eyes that you've probably been cryin' forever,
And the stars in the sky don't mean nothin' to you, they're a mirror.
I don't want to talk about it, how you broke my heart.
If I stay here just a little bit longer,
If I stay here, won't you listen to my heart, whoa, my heart?

If I stand all alone, will the shadow hide the color of my heart?
Blue for the tears, black for the night's fears.
The stars in the sky don't mean nothin' to you, they're a mirror.
I don't want to talk about it, how you broke my heart.
If I stay here just a little bit longer,
If I stay here, won't you listen to my heart, whoa, my heart?
I don't want to talk about it, how you broke this ol' heart.

If I stay here just a little bit longer,
If I stay here, won't you listen to my heart, whoa, my heart?
My heart, whoa, my heart.

Roderick David "Rod" Stewart, CBE (born 10 January 1945) is a British singer-songwriter and one of the best selling artists of all time, having sold over 100 million records worldwide.
In the UK, he has had six consecutive number one albums, and his tally of 62 hit singles include 31 that reached the top 10, six of which gained the number one position.[3] He has had 16 top ten singles in the U.S, with four of these reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100.

Theme:
"I Don't Want to Talk About It" is a song written by Danny Whitten. Whitten's band, Crazy Horse released it as a track on their 1971 eponymous album. In 1975, Rod Stewart recorded the song at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, for his album Atlantic Crossing. This became successful when it was released as a single. In the United States, it became a top fifty hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1979. In the United Kingdom, it topped the UK Singles Chart as a double A-side with "The First Cut Is the Deepest" in 1977, although it has been controversially suggested that the charts were manipulated to keep The Sex Pistols' single "God Save the Queen" from number one.
